Nicholas Opoku Joins UD Las Palmas on Two-Year Deal

Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku has completed a move to Spanish side UD Las Palmas, signing a two-year contract after leaving Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa.

The 28-year-old centre back begins a new chapter in Spain following an impressive spell in Turkey, where he established himself as one of Kasimpasa’s most reliable performers.

Opoku was an ever-present figure in the heart of Kasimpasa’s defence throughout last season, playing a key role as the club successfully secured its Turkish Super Lig status.

His consistency, aerial dominance and defensive leadership made him one of the team’s standout players.

The move to Las Palmas offers the Ghana international another opportunity to showcase his qualities in one of Europe’s top leagues as the Spanish club strengthens its squad ahead of the new season.

Opoku will be aiming to carry his solid defensive form into Spanish football as he embarks on the next phase of his career with UD Las Palmas.
