Prince Adu Kwabena was forced off on a stretcher during Viktoria Plzeň’s fixture on Sunday, after what appeared to be a head injury during the encounter.
The incident cast a shadow over proceedings as medical staff attended to the player on the pitch before he was carried off for further assessment.
Speaking after the match, Viktoria Plzeň head coach Radoslav Kovac said the club had not yet had the chance to fully evaluate the extent of the injury.
“I don’t have any information yet. Hopefully it won’t be anything serious, but I haven’t spoken to the doctors yet,” Kovac said.
The club is expected to provide an official update on Adu Kwabena’s condition once medical staff have completed their assessment. Further details, including the results of any scans or the player’s expected recovery timeline, are yet to be confirmed.
