The BAC Group is set to host Sports Business Series 2026. A high-level forum bringing together industry professionals, corporate leaders, and sports administrators to interrogate the evolving relationship between brands and grassroots sporting events in Ghana and across Africa.
Scheduled for Saturday, 10th July 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, the forum will commence at 9:30am and promises a substantive exchange of ideas on one of the most pressing conversations in contemporary African sports management: the depth and sustainability of corporate brand investment in events like the All Star Festival.

Under the theme “Brands Supporting Events Like The All Star Festival: How Far Does It Go?”, the forum will critically examine how corporate sponsors engage with multi-sport community events, exploring the boundaries of financial commitment, brand alignment, and the mutual value exchange between commercial entities and sporting platforms. Discussions are expected to touch on sponsorship models, return on investment, the role of regional development institutions, and the long-term strategic impact of sustained brand partnerships on sports.
Distinguished Panellists
The Sports Business Series 2026 will feature a panel of professionals drawn from public sports administration, the banking sector, and national research institutions reflecting the nature of the topic under discussion.
Featured Speakers
Mr. David Mawuvi Cogan Sakyi, serving as Sports Development Officer for the Oti Region, brings a ground-level perspective on how government-backed sports development initiatives intersect with private sector sponsorship.
Ms. Irene Quaye, Manager at Republic Bank in Ho, represents the banking sector’s stake in sports sponsorship. As financial institutions increasingly explore community sports as a platform for brand visibility and corporate social responsibility, Ms. Quaye’s insights will be valuable in examining how banks evaluate sports events as viable marketing investments and what they require in return.
Mr. Hubert Leo Mensah, Acting Head of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at the National Sports Authority (NSA), contributes an evidence-based institutional lens to the conversation.
It is expected that his role at NSA positions him uniquely to speak to the data behind Event impact assessments and the national policy environment governing brand-event relationships
