The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has announced the appointment of Mr. Simon Koku Gluikpor as Technical Director and Miss Hannah Akua Humphrey as a Member of the Federation’s Executive Board, in a notice issued to all Member Regional Associations (MRAs).

The appointments were made by GTF President Mr. Frederick Lartey Otu as part of continuing efforts to strengthen the administration and technical development of the Federation nationwide.The notice, signed by Secretary General Mr. Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom, was addressed to Regional Chairpersons across the country’s member associations.In his new role, Mr. Gluikpor will provide technical leadership and guidance to the Federation, working closely with the Executive Board, Regional Associations, coaches, referees, athletes and other technical stakeholders to enhance the technical development and performance of taekwondo in Ghana.

Miss Humphrey, for her part, will support the Executive Board in implementing Federation policies, programmes and initiatives, and will contribute to the broader administration and development of taekwondo in the country. She has also been tasked with assisting in financial matters assigned to her by the Executive Board.

The Federation has called on Regional Chairpersons and executives to maintain effective communication and collaboration with the newly appointed Technical Director on technical matters, and with the Executive Board on issues relating to Federation programmes and administration.

GTF described the appointments as part of its commitment to building a strong, professional, coordinated and development-oriented administration for the 2026–2030 term, and extended its congratulations to Mr. Gluikpor and Miss Humphrey, wishing them success in their respective responsibilities.

The Ghana Taekwondo Federation is affiliated to the African Taekwondo Union, the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union and World Taekwondo, and operates under the umbrella of the Ghana Olympic Committee.
