Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been drawn in Group B of the 2026 WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, setting up a demanding path as they chase a return to the African stage.

The Techiman-based side will face Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas, Nigeria’s Edo Queens FC and AS Garde Nationale of Niger in what promises to be a fiercely contested four-team group.

Ampem Darkoa secured their place in the qualifiers after edging Hasaacas Ladies in the final of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, confirming their status as Ghana’s representatives for the tournament.

The club is no stranger to the regional qualifiers, having previously claimed the WAFU B title in the 2022/23 season, a triumph that carried them to a fourth-place finish at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Group A of the qualifiers features Burkina Faso’s USFA, who will host the competition on home soil, alongside Dynamique FC de Calavi of Benin and Association Sportive de la Kozah of Togo, with a fourth participant yet to be confirmed.

The 2026 WAFU B qualifiers are scheduled to run in Burkina Faso from 23 August to 5 September, with the group winners advancing to the next phase of qualification for a place at this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League.
