The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has announced a series of key administrative appointments aimed at strengthening the governance and technical development of the sport in the country, as its newly constituted board paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) in Accra yesterday.

The delegation, led by GTF President Mr Frederick Lartey Otu, presented the Federation’s new leadership structure to GOC officials, outlining plans to build on recent progress in athlete development, competition organisation, and technical coaching across the country.
The GTF board is composed of five members drawn from administrative and technical backgrounds within the sport.

Mr Maxwell Theodore Alornyo serves as Vice President, with Mr Kankpenuba P. N. Wisdom appointed Secretary General to oversee the Federation’s day-to-day administration.
Mr Simon Gluikpor takes up the role of Technical Director, responsible for coaching standards and athlete pathways, while Ms Hannah Akua Humphrey completes the board as a Member.

During the visit to GOC headquarters, the GTF leadership used the platform to reaffirm the Federation’s commitment to working closely with the umbrella sports body on matters of governance, athlete welfare, and Ghana’s broader Olympic ambitions. The courtesy call is regarded as a customary step for newly constituted federation boards, signalling both continuity and cooperation with the national Olympic structure.
