Asante Kotoko have officially named Abdul Karim Zito as their head coach, handing him a two-year contract following a successful interim stint.
The club confirmed the appointment on Sunday, July 20, through a post on social media platform X, stating:
“We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey as our head coach for the next two years.”
Zito initially took charge in April 2025 after being named Technical Director, following the dismissal of Prosper Narteh Ogum. He has since impressed in the role, guiding the team to lift both the 2025 President’s Cup and the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup.
It remains to be seen whether Zito will retain his Technical Director responsibilities or if Kotoko will appoint a separate figure to fill that role.
The former Dreams FC boss is now tasked with steering the Porcupine Warriors to further success in the upcoming seasons.
