Evans Adotey Delighted as Basake Holy Stars Finally Return to CAM Park

Basake Holy Stars head coach Augustine Evans Adotey has expressed his delight as the club finally returns to its home ground for the first time this Ghana Premier League season.

Holy Stars have completed all their games away from their favorite Crosby Awuah Memorial Park (CAM Park) in Nzema but return to face 21-time Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak on matchday 8.

Coach Adotey in his pre-match presser with the Holy Stars’ media team did not shy away from pouring his happiness to going back to CAM Park.

“We’re happy to be back in our favorite ground, though our position on the table doesn’t speak well for us,” Adotey said.

The return marks a significant moment for the newly promoted side, who have endured a tough start to their second season in the top-flight.

Holy Stars have managed just two draws and suffering four defeats. They remain winless, goalless, and sit bottom of the league with two points, having conceded nine goals.

Despite their struggles, Adotey believes returning to familiar territory could provide the spark his team needs to turn their season around. The coach is counting on the support of their fans and the comfort of their home turf to inspire a better performance.

Their first home test, however, is a formidable one. Hearts of Oak arrive in Basake boasting one of the league’s best defensive records, conceding only two goals in seven matches and keeping six clean sheets.

For Holy Stars, Sunday’s encounter is more than just another league fixture; it’s a chance to reset, rebuild confidence, and give their fans something to cheer about and to salvage their campaign.
