La Liga: Raphinha Guides Blaugrana to Camp Nou Victory
Brazilian forward Raphinha was the star of the show at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday night as he delivered a savoury brace to guide Barcelona to a 2-0 victory over Osasuna in the Spanish La Liga.
On a night where the Catalans struggled to create meaningful chances, Raphinha turned half-chances into moments of joy, helping the Blaugrana extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table to seven points temporarily over rivals Real Madrid, who face Alavés on Sunday.
The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 70th minute, latching onto a brilliant pass from Pedri before unleashing a powerful low strike into the bottom right corner of the Osasuna goal.
Sixteen minutes later, he completed his brace. Raphinha found himself unmarked at the back post and calmly tapped in after a deflected clearance fell his way to seal the win and send the Camp Nou into celebration.
The Barcelona number 11 continues to grow in influence and has now recorded nine goal contributions in the league this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists, underlining his importance as Barcelona maintain their charge at the summit of Spanish football.
