In support for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, prominent businessman and industrialist Abdul Samad Rabiu, CFR, has announced a generous financial pledge to the Super Eagles following their impressive victory over Algeria.
The win, which secured Nigeria’s place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, was hailed by Rabiu as a victory that has “lifted the spirit of the nation.” On his Facebook post, he extended his congratulations to the players and coaching staff for their brilliant performance.
To further motivate the team, Rabiu has pledged a substantial bonus package tied to their upcoming matches.
He has committed a sum of $500,000 to be shared among the players should they win their semi-final clash. Additionally, the team will receive an extra $50,000 for every goal scored in that match.

Looking ahead to the tournament’s climax, Rabiu announced an even greater reward for ultimate victory. If the Super Eagles win the AFCON final, he pledges a further $1,000,000, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the final match.
In his message, Rabiu expressed his pride in the team and their representation of the country, stating, “Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud.”
This move by the founder and chairman of BUA Group is seen as a major boost for the team’s morale as they prepare for the critical next stage of the competition.
The Super Eagles will now look to convert their on-field success into securing these pledged rewards for the nation.
