The Ghana Cycling Federation is pleased to announce the competition programme for the Ghana National Cycling Track Team at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, taking place at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, Scotland, from 31 July to 2 August 2026.
Following months of intensive preparation, Team Ghana will be represented by Erica Sedzro and Farrakhan Shaaban Mohammed, who will compete in the Sprint, Individual Pursuit, Time Trial, and Keirin events. The Federation is confident that both athletes will demonstrate determination, resilience, and the competitive spirit that continues to showcase Ghana’s growing presence in international track cycling.

The Federation also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Daniel Burton, Cycling Manager at the Derby Arena Velodrome, and his two coaches for delivering outstanding training sessions during Team Ghana’s preparation. Their professionalism, technical expertise, guidance, and warm hospitality have provided an invaluable learning experience for both the athletes and coaching staff.
The Derby Arena Velodrome has now officially become the Ghana Cycling Federation’s designated international training venue for major competitions. This important partnership represents a significant milestone in the Federation’s commitment to providing world-class training opportunities and strengthening the long-term development of track cycling in Ghana.
