Black Queens to Compete in 3-Nation Invitational Tournament Ahead of WAFCON 2026

The Ghana women’s national team, the Black Queens will head to East Africa next month for a key preparatory assignment ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana’s Black Queens are expected to feature in a three-nation international tournament in Tanzania during the FIFA women’s international break scheduled from June 1 to June 9. The competition will bring together Ghana, hosts Tanzania, and Malawi in Dar es Salaam as the three countries intensify preparations for the upcoming WAFCON tournament.

The mini tournament is expected to hand the Black Queens another opportunity to sharpen their readiness through competitive matches while allowing the technical team to closely assess the squad.

With WAFCON drawing closer, the matches are also expected to help improve coordination within the team and sustain momentum during the international window.

The coaching staff is likely to use the games to evaluate player performances and test combinations before the continental showpiece.

Details on fixtures, venues, and the squad list are expected to be announced in the coming days.
