Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has indicated that no definitive decisions have yet been made regarding potential new call-ups to the Black Stars squad, as the newly appointed head coach continues his early assessment of the national team setup.

Twum confirmed that the technical department is still in its preliminary stages, with the head coach actively engaging players across the board before finalising any selections.

“No decision has been finalized yet. The coach has only just taken over; he has been engaging and speaking with everyone,” Twum stated.

The Communications Director further disclosed that the new gaffer intends to conduct personal visits to all members of the squad including those currently sidelined through injury as part of a comprehensive effort to establish direct communication with every player under his charge ahead of the World Cup.

While Twum acknowledged that the playing body remains committed and prepared, he noted that a number of injury concerns continue to affect the squad’s availability.

On the matter of the backroom staff, Twum refrained from making any formal announcements, indicating that full details pertaining to the technical and support personnel would be made available at the Unveiling of Carlos Quieroz.
