Ghana’s women’s beach volleyball team suffered defeats to the host nation, Nigeria, on the second day of the CAVB Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Nations Cup, following determined performances despite the challenging results.
In the first women’s fixture, the pair of Bene and Grace faced Nigeria’s Team 1. The hosts secured a straight-sets victory, winning 21–10 and 21–11.
The second duo, Franca and Sandra, also came up against Nigeria’s Team 2. Despite a spirited display, they were defeated in two sets, with Nigeria claiming both sets 21–15.
Although the outcomes did not favour Ghana, both teams demonstrated resilience that continues to define Team Ghana throughout the competition.
The Ghana Volleyball Association commends the athletes for their dedication and encourages them to remain focused as they prepare for their remaining matches in the tournament.
