The Commonwealth Games have always held a special place in Ghana’s sporting history. Since the country first appeared on the Commonwealth stage, Athletes have carried the black, gold, and green with dignity and passion. Glasgow 2026 presents a fresh opportunity to add to that proud tradition and to inspire the next generation of young athletes back home.

Boxing has historically been one of Ghana’s strongest events at the Commonwealth Games, and expectations will again be high for the country’s boxers to deliver podium performances in Scotland. In Athletics, sprinters and field event athletes have been in preparation, aiming to make their mark in front of a global audience.

The inclusion of Para sports in Ghana’s delegation is particularly important.
