Ghana’s impressive campaign at the CAA Region II U18/U20 Athletics Championships in Dakar, Senegal, continued on a high note as the country claimed gold in the Mixed 4×400m Relay event.
The quartet of Blessed Junior Owusu, Janet Darkoaa, Godfred Opoku, and Aishatu Jaffar produced a composed and commanding performance to cross the finish line in 3:25.55, securing first place and adding another gold medal to Team Ghana’s tally.
The relay team demonstrated excellent teamwork, speed, and determination throughout the race, maintaining a strong rhythm from the opening leg to the finish.
Their outstanding display proved too strong for the competition, earning Ghana a well-deserved victory.
The triumph highlights the growing strength of Ghana’s youth athletics programme and reflects the dedication of the athletes, coaches, and support staff in preparing the team for international competition.
