The Ministry of Education has extended its heartfelt support and best wishes to the Black Stars, as they begin their FIFA World Cup campaign against Panama.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Ministry, the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, expressed confidence in the team’s ability to represent Ghana with courage, discipline, determination, and patriotism on football’s biggest stage.

As they carry the hopes and aspirations of Ghanaians onto the world stage, we urge them to play with courage, discipline, determination, and patriotism,”    the Minister stated, emphasizing the importance of national unity and pride as the team embarks on its World Cup journey.

Hon. Iddrisu also highlighted the enduring relationship between education and sports, noting that while education equips footballers with opportunities beyond their playing careers, football equally imparts invaluable life lessons to students outside the classroom.

According to him, the synergy between education and sports contributes significantly to nurturing responsible citizens, leaders, and achievers for the nation. He stressed that success should not only be measured by academic achievements or sporting excellence but also by the character, discipline, and leadership qualities developed through both fields.

The Minister concluded his message by wishing the Black Stars success in the tournament, expressing hope that the team’s indomitable spirit would shine brightly and bring pride and joy to all Ghanaians.

As the nation rallies behind the Black Stars, the Ministry of Education joins millions of Ghanaians at home and abroad in hoping for a memorable and successful World Cup campaign for the four-time African champions.
