The Ghana Weightlifting Federation has confirmed its participation in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with three male athletes set to fly the country’s colours in the weightlifting event. Christopher Osei (94kg), Emmanuel Amo Boateng (71kg), and Abdul Salim Adjetey (110kg) have been selected to compete on the global stage, carrying with them the hopes of Ghana’s weightlifting fraternity.

The trio, representing three distinct weight categories, reflect the depth the federation has built in recent seasons.

Their selection follows a period of sustained competitive form, and expectations are high that they can translate that momentum into results on the international platform that the Commonwealth Games provides.
