Dzakpasu Commits to Medeama’s Season Ambitions

Medeama SC midfielder, Godknows Dzakpasu has dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from the club, insisting his full attention remains on helping the Yellow and Mauves navigate the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has been one of Medeama’s most consistent performers since joining from Tamale City in 2023, stressed that speculation about a possible transfer is not something he is thinking about at this stage of the season.

“At certain points in players’ careers, moves may come, but that’s not what I’m thinking about right now. My focus is playing in the league with Medeama at least for the current season,” he said when asked about reports suggesting he could leave soon.

Dzakpasu’s assurance comes at a crucial moment for the league leaders as they prepare to face Bechem United in a highly-anticipated matchday 11 fixture at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.

His importance to the team was underlined last weekend when he netted his first goal of the campaign in Medeama’s hard-fought victory over Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Since arriving in Tarkwa, Dzakpasu has grown into a key figure in the squad, offering stability and experience in midfield. His strong performances have not gone unnoticed, with interest reportedly coming from both domestic clubs and suitors abroad. But for now, he appears fully committed to Medeama’s title charge.

With the club riding high at the top of the table and confidence surging through the camp, Dzakpasu’s focus and form will be crucial as Medeama aim to extend their advantage and maintain momentum in what is shaping up to be one of their most promising seasons.
