The Uganda Football Federation (FUFA) has put forward a detailed incentive package for the Cranes of  Uganda ahead of their AFCON opening game against Tunisia. The proposal outlines financial rewards for qualifying for the tournament, participation allowances, and performance based bonuses.

FUFA President, Moses Magogo, is urging for the agreement to be finalized and signed tonight, just before the team’s first game against Tunisia

The proposed package is designed to cover all members of the squad and staff, recognizing their collective effort. The breakdown is as follows:

Qualification Bonus:

· A bonus of $10,000 per person.
· This will be paid on a pro-rata basis, depending on each individual’s involvement across the six AFCON qualifying matches.
· This applies to players, technical staff, and support staff.

Tournament Allowances (if Uganda qualifies):

· International Camp: $100 per day for 12 days.
· AFCON Camp: $200 per day during the tournament.
· Match Fee: $1,200 for each game played.

Performance Bonuses at AFCON:

Group Stage Finish (only one applies):

· 3rd place in group — $8,000 per person
· 2nd place in group — $10,000 per person
· 1st place in group — $12,000 per person

Knockout Stage Bonuses (these are cumulative, meaning players can earn more than one):

· Reaching Quarter-finals — $14,000 per person
· Reaching Semi-finals — $16,000 per person
· Reaching the Final — $20,000 per person
· Winning AFCON — $30,000 per person

This clear and structured proposal aims to motivate the team as they face Tunisia, needing a positive result to keep their qualification hopes strong. The federation hopes that confirming these incentives will boost the team confidence for the crucial match ahead.
