A delegation from the renowned Bukom Boxing Gym, together with selected members of Ghana’s national amateur boxing team, the Black Bombers, has departed Accra to participate in the “Road to France 2026” project, an international exchange programme between Ghana and France.
The initiative, designed to foster technical and cultural exchange between Ghana and France, signals a major step in Ghana’s preparations for future international boxing engagements
The team is led by seasoned boxer David Neequaye, alongside assistant coach and media officer Augustus Dodoo.
The contingent departs with a strong sense of determination, a shared ambition to make a significant mark on the international stage.
The “Road to France 2026” initiative is designed to provide Ghanaian boxers with global exposure, high-level training opportunities, and cultural exchange experiences that will enhance their competitiveness ahead of future international competitions.
For the Bukom-based fighters, the programme represents a critical step in their development and a chance to showcase Ghana’s rich boxing heritage.
As the delegation embarks on this journey, they carry with them not only their gloves and competitive spirit but also the unwavering support and hopes of Ghanaians. Their mission in France is to compete, and ultimately, to elevate Ghana’s presence on the global boxing stage.
