The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has announced that three of its distinguished female administrators have been selected to participate in the esteemed World Rugby Women in Rugby Careers Programme.
This recognition marks an achievement for the Union and underscores Ghana’s growing influence on the international rugby stage.
The selected participants are Samira Mensah, General Manager of the GRFU; Rachel Ankomah, Director of Corporate Communications; and Matilda Clottey, Weija Gbawe Municipal Sports Director.
Their inclusion in the programme highlights their exceptional individual contributions to the sport, spanning high-level administration, strategic communication, and grassroots development.
Their selection serves as a confirmation to GRFU’s commitment to fostering female leadership and acknowledges the pivotal role these women have played in the Union’s growth.
Through this programme, the three Ghanaians will join a global network of female leaders, gaining access to a series of curated sessions focused on leadership, strategic communication, and professional growth.
This opportunity is designed to equip participants with the tools to further their careers in rugby governance and management.
For the GRFU, their participation represents a step in strengthening pathways for women in rugby, both within Ghana and across the broader African continent.
